What You’ll Need

You’ll only need 3 ingredients to make this easy peanut butter fudge! Here they are. Be sure to scroll to the recipe card below for precise measurements.

Ingredients for peanut butter fudge.
  • White chocolate chips – You can use regular white chocolate chips or a high-quality baking bar. Either will work. Don’t swap it out for regular chocolate though. The consistency will not be the same.
  • Creamy peanut butter – You’ll want a smooth peanut butter. I like Jiffy. Whatever you do, do not use natural peanut butter. The oil separates from the peanut butter, making it difficult to get the right consistency.
  • Sweetened condensed milk – Be extra certain not to use evaporated milk. It will not work in the same way.

How to Make 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge

Making fudge can be intimidating, but this recipe is a great one to start with. It will only take about 12 minutes of active time and the steps are super simple. Here’s a quick overview of how to do it. For more thorough instructions, scroll to the recipe card below.

  • Prep. Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt. Combine the white chocolate chips and peanut butter in a bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until smooth.
  • Put it all together. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk.
  • Chill. Spread the contents of the bowl into the prepared baking pan and chill in the fridge until firm, 2-3 hours.
  • Serve. Cut the fudge into squares and serve cold or at room temperature for a softer fudge.

Tips for Success

Wondering how to get this peanut butter fudge absolutely perfect every time? Let me fill you in on some tips and tricks that will help you achieve the results you’re looking for.

  • Choose the right peanut butter. Grab a smooth, creamy peanut butter that is not labeled as natural. The oil in natural peanut butter separates from the solids, making it nearly impossible to achieve a smooth, creamy fudge.
  • Don’t overheat. When melting together the white chocolate chips and the peanut butter, do so in 30-second increments, stirring between each just until the chips have melted completely and the mixture is smooth. Heating past that point can give you thick, lumpy, dull fudge.
  • Stir. Stir. Stir. When melting together the white chocolate chips and the peanut butter, and then again when mixing the sweetened condensed milk into the peanut butter mixture, be sure to stir until everything is smooth and creamy and you can’t see any streaks.
  • Make it extra special. Want to add a little pizzazz to your fudge? Lightly press some chopped peanuts, Reese’s cups, and/or M&Ms into the top.

Proper Storage

Once the fudge has firmed up in the fridge, cut it into squares and seal it in an airtight container with parchment or wax paper separating any layers. It will stay good at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, in the fridge for up to 5 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

If you choose to freeze the fudge, allow it to thaw at room temperature before enjoying.

Description

This easy 3 ingredient peanut butter fudge is made in about 12 minutes of prep time! It’s smooth, creamy and full of peanut butter flavor! Perfect for sharing too!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (339g | 12oz) white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (280g) creamy peanut butter*
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9 square pan with parchment paper that covers the sides of the pan.
  2. Place the white chocolate chips and peanut butter in a large bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until well combined and smooth. It should only take a minute or two.
  3. Gently stir in the sweetened condensed milk until no more streaks remain. It will thicken quite a bit.
  4. Quickly transfer the mixture to the lined pan and spread evenly. Refrigerate the fudge until firm, 2-3 hours. The fudge will look a little glossy when you first add it to the pan and look more matte as it sets.
  5. Cut the fudge and store in an air tight container. Fudge can be stored at either room temperature or the fridge. It will be softer at room temperature.

Notes

Do not use an all natural peanut butter. The oil separates from the peanut butter, making it difficult to get the right consistency.

I’m still too scared to waste my chocolate and try making fudge again 😅 but I’m really intrigued by this recipe because chocolate and peanut butter go so well together, so I’m really curious what peanut butter fudge would taste like! There’s just so many variations of fudge, I don’t know where to start!
