I use a lot of different tools in my baking and decorating, and I often get questions about which things I use and like best. This list includes my most used tools, but if you have questions about any other things I might use, feel free to ask.
Wilton Round Cake Pan, 8 by 3-Inch – Most of my cake pans are Wilton. They are easily found at most stores. I use my 8×3 pan a lot – especially for stacking my ice cream cakes.
Kitchenaid 6 qt Stand Mixer, Professional – I love my mixer and the large bowl size.
Wilton 10-Inch Cake Circles, 12-Pack – I use all sizes of these cake circles depending on the cake size. They are great to stack and build cakes on so that you can move them around and work with them.
Wilton Decorating Tip, No.789 Cake Icer – I use this tip to pipe icing around the outside of a cake when icing it. Then I use the icing smoother below to smooth it.
Ateco Decorating Comb & Icing Smoother – This is the smoother I use to smooth my cakes. I’ve tried others and this is definitely my favorite.
Wilton Easy Glide Fondant Smoother – Once my cake is iced and smoothed, I use a Viva paper towl and this smoother to smooth out any imperfections.
Wilton Trim-N-Turn Ultra Rotating Cake Stand – I use this turntable when icing my cakes.
Wilton Angled Icing Spatula, 9-Inch – I use this spatula all the time – for spreading things into a pan or dish, for spreading icing in between layers of cake. Probably my most used tool.
Cupcake Courier 36-Cupcake Plastic Storage Container – This carrier is great. You can store cupcakes (although if you like tall icing, they might be too tall) and for cakes. The cupcake inserts can be removed. I store most of my cakes in it. It’s taller than other carriers I have.

Ateco #844 Closed Star Pastry Tube – Another favorite tip for icing cupcakes. Most used.
