This Carolina Panther Punch is the perfect drink for all the upcoming football watching! Surely you will be cheering on the Carolina Panthers in the postseason and the drink in your hand should absolutely reflect that with this beautiful blue and tasty punch! 🙂
You may or may not be aware that I pretty much grew up in Charlotte, NC – the home of the Carolina Panthers. The team began back in 1995 and my family has been avid fans ever since (with the exception of my older brother who is a Falcons fan. He’s clearly confused 😉 ). We even drove down to Clemson stadium for home games during their first year when they didn’t have a stadium built yet. Sunday tailgating is a tradition. Sadly being all the way in Atlanta, GA now I’m not able to attend nearly as many games as I’d like, but my parents still hold the best tailgate ever and I love to visit.
And the truth is – I can’t even take credit for this recipe. This is all my mom. For a couple seasons she’s been working on perfecting it. I had my suggestions of course, but she gets the credit. After testing proportions, this is her final masterpiece.
Certainly you can experiment with it too. The proportions have been reduced a bit over time to make it a little less potent. It has become so popular that people were getting a little too punchy. 😉 It tastes so good it’s easy to not realize how much you’re actually drinking.
My parents rarely miss a game but they did miss one this season. Of course my younger brother wasn’t worried at all about them being gone, except that everyone was worried that the Panther Punch wouldn’t make it to the tailgate. It’s become a tradition that absolutely must be present for a Panther win! So my brother took care of it.
And now that the Panthers have gone 15-1 this season (!!!!!) I’m sharing the Carolina Panther Punch with you. I know you’ll be joining me in cheering them on through the playoffs – and hopefully to the Super Bowl – so we’ll need to be drinking this tasty punch together. It’s perfect for tailgating and for viewing parties. I was at the game this past Sunday and it was awesome! A good friend of mine since high school helped me with these photos. It’s her beautiful face showcased above. 🙂
The recipe below makes a fairly good sized batch. Enough for a group. How many it should serve though depends on your crowd. I’m pretty sure my mom doubles this for tailgating and it serves 10-ish people per batch – some having more and some having fewer glasses.
Let’s go Panthers! Keep Pounding!!

This recipe is super fun! I can’t wait to share this with my friends! * Also I think I might have to die it red this is a chief house hold!
Looks so good !! Does it turn your mouth blue ??
No, it doesn’t. The blue comes from the liqueur, not any food coloring.
i’m trying to make this for a party and was wondering how much the recipe make?
I believe the recipe mentions it’ll serve 10, but I think it’s plenty for a party of even 20 assuming they aren’t all big drinkers. It’s quite a bit. We usually make it for a tailgate with 10-20 people and it’s fine. There’s usually other drink options too.
This looks so good! I would love to make it for our party this Sunday! Unfortunately, I can’t see the recipe ????.
I redesigned my site yesterday and it seems to have caused some issues with recipes displaying on mobile. We are currently working on it. If you can view it on a computer, you should be able to see it. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Do you have a non-alcoholic version of Carolina Panther Punch?
I do not, but I think it might work with using Blue Hawaiian punch or something.
I do something similar, I call it Panther Blood. Rum, Hypnotic, Blue Curacao, Rockstar, and Sprite or 7up, sometimes blue Gatorade
I kind of make it up as I go, dash here, dash there
Sounds tasty!
Ok. Now. Don’t you find it a little sad that that “1” loss was in Atlanta? I sent my sister and my daughter to that game . . . they are grounded from all further football games . . . .
Maybe if they’d taken some of this punch?
YES!! And we live in Atlanta! It’s awful to have that be the one loss. 🙂 The game is so close – let’s go Panthers!
