This Million Dollar Dip is quick and made with only 5 ingredients. Bacon, cheese, green onions, almonds, and mayo combine to make a perfect appetizer for parties or game day. Definitely tastes like a million bucks!
5-Minute Million Dollar Dip
Million Dollar Dip is super simple and easy to put together. It’s an excellent snack to have while watching football or just hanging out with friends. In fact, this 5-minute dip is my family’s go-to when it comes to game day appetizers and snacks! It’s hard to beat something this tasty that’s ready so darn fast.
We’re only using 5 ingredients in this dip, so make sure they all count. Good mayo makes a huge difference since it’s the base of the dip, and I like real bacon bits over the other varieties. The flavors really come together after sitting in the fridge for an hour or two, so I recommend not skipping that part.
I serve Million Dollar Dip with Ritz crackers and an assortment of veggies like carrots and celery. But feel free to use any of your favorite crackers or chips. Enjoy!
What You’ll Need
One of my favorite things about this veggie dip is that it only takes 5 ingredients to make. When I’m putting together game day snacks, my mantra is always ‘quick and easy!’ Scroll down to the recipe card for individual ingredient amounts.
- Mayonnaise – Use your favorite brand that has the best flavor.
- Cheddar Cheese – I like using sharp cheddar for this dip.
- Green Onions
- Bacon Bits – I recommend using real bacon bits if you want to maximize flavor. If you’re feeling really ambitious, feel free to make your own!
- Slivered Almonds
How to Make Million Dollar Dip
Million Dollar Dip is one of my family’s favorite game-day appetizers. The flavor is amazing and the entire thing comes together in 5 minutes! Be sure to give yourself enough time to let the dip sit in the fridge for an hour or two to let all those yummy flavors meld together.
- Add Ingredients to a Big Bowl and Mix! Add the green onions, cheese, mayonnaise, bacon bits, and almonds to a medium-sized bowl and stir together until well combined.
- Chill. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours to let all the flavors mix together. This dip will get tastier the longer it sits, so don’t skip this step. Once you’re ready to serve, bring out your favorite crackers and veggies and enjoy!
Tips for Success
Part of the draw of this recipe is how quickly it comes together. Here are some tips to make one of my family’s favorite game day snacks in just 5 minutes.
- Use Good Mayonnaise. Since the mayo is the base of the dip, great flavor is essential. I like using Hellman’s because of the tang and creamy texture, but any quality mayo will work. Just be sure to not use a salad dressing.
- Use Bacon Bits over Making Bacon. Using bacon bits keep this recipe quick and easy. But if you have extra bacon from breakfast, feel free to crumble that up and enjoy.
- Grate Your Own Cheese. This will only add a few minutes to your prep time, but the flavor is always better than packaged pre-shredded cheese.
- Chop the Almonds. Even though slivered almonds are already small, I still like to give them a quick chop. It keeps all the ingredients roughly the same size and keeps the crunchy bits nice and small.
- Flavor Additions: Add in some garlic, ranch seasoning, or Italian seasoning for an extra addition of flavor.
How to Store Leftovers
You can store any leftover dip in the fridge for 2 or 3 days, but it never lasts that long in my house. I recommend putting any leftovers in a smaller airtight container rather than wrapping up the larger bowl. When you’re ready to finish it off, just pull it out of the fridge and enjoy!

Have you ever tried heating this dip? Not sure why but when I saw it I kept looking for the instructions to place it in the oven. It seems like one that should be heated. Was curious if you ever tried it.
I haven’t tried it, but I imagine it would be good that way too.
Who doesn’t love a good dip! If you want a sweet & savory dip add some crushed pineapple to the dip. Divine!
My guests loved this dip. I spread some on my toasted English muffin for breakfast. Tomorrow, I will top it with an over easy or poached egg.
So glad you enjoyed it!
This looks amazing – but I can’t eat almonds. What would be a good subsitute? How would this dip be if I didn’t add the almonds?
Thank you!
You could certainly just leave them out.
