Have you ver had a Mango Margarita from Chili’s? It was theirs that made me fall in love with them so many years ago. It may seem like a random spot for a good margarita, but it’s the truth.

This is my version. I dare say it’s a bit stronger. 🙂 You can definitely tone down the tequila if you aren’t as a big of a fan.

How to Make Mango Margaritas

The base of the mix is frozen mango chunks. I bought a bag of them in the frozen fruit section. Easy peasy. I like starting with frozen mango instead of fresh because then you don’t need to add ice, which melts and waters down your margarita. Blending the frozen mango gives you the mango flavor and the frozen “ice”.

Blend the mango with tequila, triple sec, lime juice and water and you’re good to go! That’s all it takes!

I have had these babies a few times over the last few weeks. First with a friend who helped me test them. It was tough job. 😉 Then when I took these photos. And then again last Friday after hitting my first big deadline for my cookbook. I had several, in fact.

They really are delicious and with them being so easy to make, I know I’ll be making them a lot this summer.

Yes, I’m sorry about that. We are working on transitioning the recipe card on the site and it’s giving a conflict with the print button. It should be resolved soon. Thanks!

The mango margarita recipe says to add all the ingredients to the blender but then it says to put the sugar on a plate to coat the rims of the glass…. does sugar go in the blender or not?

I’m so sorry for the confusion. The sugar goes in the blender for the margaritas. You’ll use some additional sugar for the rims. I’ve updated the recipe. Thanks for letting me know!

I volunteer to be a mango margarita tester if you ever need anybody. I’m just a few states north of you! 🙂
These look like the PERFECT consistency. I’m a huge marg girl, so of course I want!
